SASE Commercial

Hey guys - so recently I've been working on an internet commercial for for an organization called SASE (Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers). I worked on the storyboards and character design and my friend Stefanie (link) worked on the animation. Thank you to my friend Shuo and SASE for giving me the great opportunity to work on this. I think it came out pretty cool! Check it out! ;)

Rogue, Maleficent, Jasmine, and Daenerys

On 12/3 I had the pleasure of the attending the "Nerdgasm" event at Dr. Sketchy's. It was an 11-hour drawing marathon! It was like comic-con except the girls took off their clothes for your artistic drawing pleasure. lol... Here are some of my sketches during the session.

Baby Shower Caricatures

Sorry I haven't update this blog in a long time. A while ago I drew caricatures at my friend's baby shower to entertain the other guests and let them keep the drawings. This was pretty fun because I got to interact with and draw people of all different ages. It was definitely an eye opener to see the different personalities of people and how they react to your drawing.

This is a little baby that is drawn as a monkey.

This is a kid whose family members were making fun of how skinny he was. He was  quite pleased when I drew him as a body builder. He hung it up on the refrigerator right away!

This is a funny gal who wanted to have a beer in a her hand.

Drawing these two pretty girls was harder than I thought! I thought it would be easy - but I realized that if my drawing didn't look better than what they looked like in real life - it would seem like I did a bad job...

This kid was moving around like crazy! Short attention span. However, the drawing came out pretty good and I was quite pleased with the result.

Chipotle Sucks

Chiptole has a promotion where you buy a $30 gift card and receive a free burrito. My mom bought 2 $30 gift cards and redeemed her "free" burritos - except she was charged for the burritos on her gift card. The next time time she used the gift card - she realized something was not right - the balance of the gift card was only $9.80. When she talked to the store manager Karl - he was unapologetic and did not admit there was a mistake. He even asked my mom to bring back her credit card statement - even after my mom went through all this trouble - he still did not refund her the money nor acknowledge the mistake.

Can you imagine if she gave out these gift cards as gifts and there was missing balance on the card? Why is Chipotle running this promotion and offering "free" burritos when they are just going to charge for them? I guess they just want your money and want buy their crummy gift cards.. that's all.
